Sauna in the main bathroom or in the basement?

That results from the space in the floor plan. We first removed the lounge chairs near the sauna; instead, the living room has relaxing furniture, with music, a fridge and a fruit plate. If you are young and fit, then gladly the basement. We had only left a placeholder in the basement measuring 2.5x2.5m, without basement windows in this area, and 2-3 years later inserted the sauna. In the second planning it was a matter of centimeters on the ground floor.

Report from the parental home: We used to have the sauna in the basement. It was spacious and there was plenty of room. You could have funny sauna parties with friends. But in my opinion, it wasn’t really cozy. The basement is dark, and for relaxing I find it nicer with daylight. Now we have the sauna in the attic. That is very nice. In front of the sauna room, we have a seating area by the window, a full bath next to it, and anyone who wants can also lie down. But most of the time we sit by the window in our bathrobes and chat.

The picture should show that the sauna in the basement can be a wooden box with a pane in the door (inexpensive 08/15). And the sauna in the living area is a bathroom furniture piece and must be super well planned. The interior cladding is Canadian cedar and the scent, mmm, :)
