Double casement windows clean themselves at a 45-degree roof pitch. Have them cleaned every few years.

The dormer windows should have tilt-and-turn fittings.

I have been advised here that one should have the windows cleaned. ;)

I accept that immediately without objection - no arguing! :D

That's how it is.

I try, in my eyes and with my means, to optimize the lighting situation. I would rather build a skylight in an interior wall or, as you have seen, an open space, just because of the light...

TV and chilling work best by candlelight or floor lamp ;)

One could install daylight lighting for times when “normal” light is needed there.

Well... with an open space not so dark in the middle area. Without an open space, I would actually work with a long shed dormer and skylights above the interior doors. It's a kids' floor anyway, so that shouldn't be negative.

That should actually be planned and the staircase set accordingly. You would also have to set priorities, whether a poor staircase location is worth it if you then don’t expand after all. Many things depend on that.

I thought anyway that it would be open to above :D

Screenshots before I delete them again: this would be one option with the stairs still in the existing hallway, just on the other side. Without an open space of course, but 3 children's rooms and space for the bathroom. I will move the stairs further back later... the idea is there... so that you can get a fourth room in the attic. That's what I hope. Inspired by Claus' idea

I really like bringing the staircase forward. The upper floor is now really tidy.

Ok, understood, thanks. It’s tidy on the upper floor and works. All right. However, does that mean it’s not possible to have 4 rooms upstairs facing south and an entrance, staircase, or hallway on the upper floor with an air space?

I just boldly tinkered a bit in your (previous) draft so that we understand each other & the air space is narrower, barely leaving room for a second window. Maybe the entrance could also be moved further to the left side of the plan...
