Damn, I think I’ve miscalculated.
Oh, I’m sorry. A shame about the work, but I still find it very exciting.
Of course, I don’t like the two parallel running rooms on the upper floor at all.
I can understand that and could live with it too. Of course, you don’t want to build a hospital, but the topic of “compromise” is present. :)
It’s supposed to just serve as inspiration anyway.
That’s how it should be and it is for me.
I now believe that you really have to move the stairs to the back so that the rooms can be lined up like pearls.
That would somehow also be a shame because I really like the central staircase, whether standing crosswise or not, it doesn’t matter. On the upper floor, I would really be willing to make compromises there, for example regarding room sizes.
However, I see here... no possibility for access to the room on the plan-right side, because there would be the barrier “support beam” there, or am I wrong?
Absolutely right. That would not work and is confusing. Sorry.
The desperate act can be seen here:
I find it desperately good – rather devilishly good! ;) Of course, it doesn’t work with the room in the east like this, but the open design, the staircase going up, the air space/gallery... impressive, and I find it just as stylish and modern upstairs. Man, man, man, a great approach for everything. Maybe you can still get the one room facing south and give up one of the roof windows or reduce the air space. That’s my first thought, very spontaneous...
Basically everything is included: bigger living room, eat-in kitchen, hallway closet and dresser space, access to the utility room near the dressing room, bathroom with window, toilet with window, spacious bedroom.
THAT is such a nice surprise for me right now. I’m looking at it all carefully and thinking: that already works! Maybe I’m not seeing it so critically, but simply put: I don’t see any point of criticism regarding the basic layout, room sizes, access, etc. And what excites me especially is that both the bathroom and guest WC are placed on the south side and, on top of that, you don’t end up directly in the bedroom from the hallway... wow! Besides that, a large utility room/airlock, living area clearly separated in the open space and it works as far as I can see now. There are further points, small but fine: the door to the open space opens nicely because of the shifted stairs (between two walls), I like that too. And how the pillars are constructed downstairs, really smart in my opinion.
Really great and on an insanely exciting path & it would be a shame if it doesn’t work because of the upper floor.
PS: I hope you also had a nice sunny day. We had a wonderful one and I hope you/you all did too.
