As a room divider, such a thing is basically conceivable. I assume you mean a spot between the kitchen and the living room... but that would make the corner even darker. Or did you have a different/specific position in mind?

Maybe we ignore the costs and think about the most suitable place (or just wait and see)?

Let's wait and see... You have also recognized the problem of the upper floor. Not everything is possible. I didn't get anything done today... tomorrow is another day :)

Here with chimney flue, west window seat, and approximately adjusted windows with the upper floor... since I am working with estimated values anyway, 10 cm does not matter in this visualization.
Incidentally, I cannot see the other floor in the floor plans, hence the chimney protruding so far...
