Good keyword: what do you think about my suggestion that you reflect in a way that one can build upon, the drafts in posts #89 and #116?
...I gladly do that:-). Thanks again to Würfel for this planning.
Draft Würfel:
1.0. Ground floor
1.1 Likes HW: Living/Dining is larger. Straightforward planning.
1.2 Likes granny flat: Living/Dining is significantly larger and thus the requirement for the size of the room should be fulfilled
1.3 Likes less HW: Does the underside of the stairs protrude into living/dining?
(1.4 Likes less granny flat: The utility room adjoins the living/dining)
(1.5 Likes less granny flat: Corridor/wardrobe feel very small)
1.6 Likes less granny flat: A small storage room is missing
2.0. Upper floor
2.1 Likes: Completely different approach to accommodate the brother.
2.2 Likes: Children’s bathroom in the north
2.3 Likes: Larger master bedroom with en-suite bathroom
2.4 Likes less: One bathroom too many - maybe one bathroom can be shared with the brother, but it should not be possible to access our apartment from the bathroom, i.e. the bathroom should perhaps be lockable from outside (just an idea).
2.5 Likes less: Utility room is missing
Legend / explanations would be helpful.
Quickly:
According to the new VDE-AR-4100:
When planning the building entry of the network connection cable, the connection to the network connection point must be possible via the shortest route.
According to DIN 18012:
The house connection room must be located on the exterior wall of the building.
According to DIN 18012:
The drinking water and heat connection must be planned analogously to the electricity connection. A multi-utility house entry (gas and water tight) is mandatory, so that there is one and the same house connection room.
→ The VDE-AR 4100 working and operating area according to chapter 5.3.4 (including annex A) must be taken into account.
...I gladly do that :-). Thanks again to Würfel for this planning.

I am curious about your comments.
Planning by ypg Post #116. I find it architecturally very sophisticated, I particularly like the balcony in the south. But for now I would like to focus on Würfel’s planning and try to optimize it further. The reason for this is that the building permit for this planning already exists and changes would probably be cheaper and easier to achieve with the construction company.
And somewhere you still want to store the kids’ bikes or yours?
The bikes could theoretically also be stored on the north side of the house.
What are you thinking? A space-saving staircase, where healthy young people have already injured themselves because they are so steep? It will probably be the case that seniors also use the upper room or clean and ventilate it when the son is not there?!
Ok, that was probably a bit too optimistic to think the problem could be solved by a smaller staircase. However, new problems will probably arise because of it.
But that is a bit unfair to : she usually plans like a pro, mostly with non-straight stairs because they save space, and now you come along saying a straight staircase is desired. There is nothing about that in the initial post, as far as I remember. I even checked myself “back then”.
Sorry, I should have written that we would like to stick to a straight staircase.
