This 125cm corner behind the stairs was intended as a small reading nook with a view of the fireplace. Which leads to the next problem:
- Where do we put the fireplace?
To put this little treat at the forefront: You are not focusing on the essentials. The optimum was almost reached, and then you come up with things that should be exaggerated or secondary.
(I reread the thread for reference and looked at the plot...)
For example this here:
so that the guest is not sitting in the dark.
Why should a guest sit hunched in their room?
First: when do you have guests? And this room will have a window that illuminates the space.
Completely counterproductive for a good design.
- The entrance should be centered for aesthetic reasons and the footprint should ideally be taller than wide (more garden)
This meant that I had to rotate the floor plan clockwise once. As a result, the guest and utility rooms had to be swapped again so that the guest is not sitting in the dark.
Also nonsense... always this "more garden." You have enough garden whether the house is placed sideways or not. What good is 10% more here and there if 30% are missing in front or on the side?
And suddenly, you’re back at the beginning with your sketch again.
...
The structure of the garage should be: 9.00*6.50m. Continuous sectional door and a separated area at the back for storage possibilities or also a small workbench and a hand washbasin.
A shed roof will be put on top.
The garage will not be exempt from approval. You will have to get a new permit later.
As far as I’ve seen, it is supposed to be on the corner of the plot: a total of 15 meters of boundary development is allowed.
Regarding the centered front roof: that would be optimum. It would also be feasible without your "but" quirks.
If not, you mask one side with planting, for example. Or you put the carport in front of/against it. Besides, you don’t look directly at the entrance but always come from the side.
The design was almost finished apart from minor details. Then you come along and absolutely have to ruin everything good with a pantry and the above-mentioned "but" quirks.
Reflect on this and scroll back further.
Edit: Plan a normal ceiling height, leave out the pantry and the fireplace, and give the corners of the plot their purpose: trash, bicycles, laundry, storage space..., and a nice front garden, which also requires space.
