I suspect light/sun.

Your office has a very prominent position in the southwest.

Take a look at the sun's path online. Consider your daily routine. When do you stay where.
In my opinion, you get less from the morning sun than from the afternoon/evening sun. Usually, people are less often at home in the morning.
That's why I would try to change the orientation of the house.

Because sunlight in living spaces is the best thing a living area (including kitchen, dining) can have. South provides the best yield throughout the year. Windows on the west side catch the light in the evening.
Morning sun is less interesting for a typical daily routine. It's nice on weekends, but relaxation and quality of life are found more in the evening.

This exterior door is completely overrated if the argument is “dry-footed...”
It doesn’t rain constantly and every day. Not even in April anymore. And it’s already mid... It hasn’t rained for weeks.
No, seriously: The probability of switching between car and house in the rain is very, very low. 2 times out of 100 is overestimated. On the other hand, there are 5 times a day when the utility room is used for other things.
So if there is the possibility for a more sensible location, then this door should not have priority.
For a utility room under 9 sqm, there is also the argument that you rather need the floor space than to forego it.
In addition, you want to wash laundry in the utility room. So do you want to slalom through the utility room around the sorted laundry, with the cloakroom far away, and the front door unused?
This is currently almost a daily topic here, also today in the parallel thread.
If the utility room turns out to be somewhat larger than in the last floor plan discussions, then this door towards the garden makes more sense, to bring the laundry directly outside or to do the day’s work in the garden over the utility room in summer.

It looks a bit cramped in the open space. We are currently considering whether to put the office upstairs instead in order to have more space in the open area. After 8 floor plan drawings, we still haven't really found the right one. Complicated, but exciting.

If you still don’t know Hoch 2, you can get discouraged. Just try laying the stairs on the side where you don’t need a door.

However, I must also say that you don’t necessarily have to immediately post everything here as a draft (it’s nice, no question). But how about simply saying: that’s true, I don’t see it that way, let’s see, whatever... some verbal feedback would be helpful, then one or another here could pick up what you think about it and make you a suggestion.

If you place it upstairs... Fitting a 10x10 utility room and an office on the ground floor is already quite a challenge. You have to be aware that there will be no generosity left for the open-plan living area. How wide are the utility room and office in the last version? So if the version is supposed to work, then not furnished like that. You might perhaps rotate the dining table by 90 degrees. And move the kitchen unit downwards. But even that looks pretty tight. You have now drawn a new draft. What prompted you to do that? You have received several suggestions but now nobody knows whether you wanted to include them in the new draft or just sketched something out on your own. Please "respond" to the points like yes, that’s true or no, I see it differently etc.

Sounds reasonable with the stairs
We will try that.
I always find it easier to discuss using a picture. That's why I posted the floor plan as a picture.
