I really appreciate constructive help and criticism. However, I would also appreciate it if you simply left out the parts of your posts that only hate on inexpensive construction companies or clients without a fat bank account. That doesn’t help me, the floor plan, or the post in any way. Thank you for that. Regarding the joint planning of the floors, yes, I have now also had to realize that. I will try again to change my way of thinking, since apparently I am not getting to the goal that way.

Ahh, many thanks to both of you for the staircase clarification.

So that’s what was meant by the program error. A landing staircase surely takes up even more space?

Are 90 cm sufficient for comfortable stair climbing?

... do not exist. At best, I "hate" those schlumps of contractors who try to sweeten their construction service descriptions with "all you can eat" notes, settling for a discount architect. Not only is creativity saved on here (which would be less bad, since the client can contribute their own work), but also, for example, on detailed drawings for the execution planning. A gifted window won't make up for that.

I prefer 1m. Of course, anything above that is better. You also have to consider whether the ceiling height is appropriate for the house. We have 176m² and a ceiling height of 2.65m. That is very comfortable, spacious, and absolutely fitting, in my opinion. For 160m², I consider 2.60m more appropriate. Others plan with 2.40m ceiling height, just as a comparison. It is also the case that the staircase becomes disproportionately long in relation to the house if the ceiling is very high. I find 2.70m a bit too high for 160m². Of course, you can counter that with a 1/2 turn space-saving staircase, but that doesn’t always fit the floor plan.

we were in different houses and actually found the ceiling height quite comfortable. Especially since I would like to have some sort of recessed, suspended feature on the ceilings, I still considered 2.50 meters a bit tight if it stays at "only" that.
This 1/2 space-saving staircase is an ugly "metal grid staircase," isn't it?

So we would also be open to a 1/2 staircase, but then with a landing.
So far we just haven't really used it in our plans because all our designs waste so much space for the hallway.
I have seen that there are also floor plan variations with slanted walls in the hallway that minimize the problem, but honestly, my creativity in incorporating slanted walls is not enough.

And that's a good thing: opinions are, to put it mildly, divided on whether slanting walls are the magic solution.
