Floor plan design: Is the hallway on the ground floor wide enough?

The fastest solution would probably be to switch from a platform staircase to a simple 1/2 turn staircase.

Thank you very much for the feedback as well. The plan comes from the architect who actually has quite good references, but we take your (justified) points very seriously! My wife does not necessarily want a spiral staircase, even though that would certainly be the fastest solution. Do you see any other reasonable solution options (apart from making the house correspondingly wider)? We had already discussed building the stairwell with 36.5 cm stones instead of 42.5 cm stones, but that only gains 6 cm,...

The only really problematic thing is the staircase; everything else is solvable. Would a staircase bay window be an option? In my opinion, that would be the most elegant solution, but of course it costs money. Like here: For other options, one would need to know all the floors.

You don't have to widen the house to optimize it.
There is quite some space in the hallway that is missing elsewhere.
And yes: someone here seems to like appendages: rectangular hallway, but with small extensions towards the kitchen and AB.

To optimize, one would need to know more. The upper floor or the orientation is not even known yet...

Thank you, I will upload the complete floor plan including the questionnaire tomorrow. Then I would be happy to discuss this overall again.

The area in front of the kitchen door becomes dark and narrow, that will not be nice. The hallway has huge space and in the area where you move constantly, you squeeze through a dark corridor.
