So around 400 € per month? Isn't that also dependent on the sqm? I have in mind about 4.50 € per sqm including maintenance reserves (for an existing property). I think, de facto, it is below that here (at least when I ask our few homeowners/residents in our circle of acquaintances). But for the safety variant, it is more interesting to calculate that way.

You also pay property tax, insurance, and chimney sweep as a tenant, just indirectly. Repairs partly as well.
On the other hand, you can save well on ancillary costs in your own home—less garbage fees, no garden maintenance, no stairwell cleaning, etc.
Of course, you should build reserves in the house, but in my experience the ancillary costs are lower.

Are you now an educator or have you studied social pedagogy and obtained a corresponding degree?

You know, I am only referring to what you write. This is really not meant to be rude. The topic of horses is already old news and I don’t need to bring it up again now. I wish you good luck in realizing your dream.

So I found the three houses (one of which we only know from the outside) through my own initiative (bike tour through the village, flyer drops, E---Ka). I am quite happy that it worked because online it's really just expensive expensive expensive or already excluded due to the location. If we move further out, then we have to do family taxi and additionally have two reliable cars (we have a reliable one for my commute, my husband is content with a beater because in an emergency he can also get there by bike if the car breaks down :D ). That has to be taken into account as well.

I have to disagree with you this time. The house is usually larger and more valuable than the apartment. Therefore often higher property tax and street cleaning fees. Stormwater charges are also usually more expensive. But indeed, you save on other small things (winter service, janitor, garden maintenance). However, the additional costs are limited. Smaller repairs in the apartment also have to be paid for by oneself, by the way.
