I have read a lot (but not everything) and asked myself one thing:
Vinyl: plastic, controversial, not liked by everyone, prone to abrasion.
Parquet: natural, beautiful, requires maintenance, sensitive to water.
Tiles: robust, pleasant with underfloor heating, the look is "cool."
Have you ever considered wood-look tiles? For me, tiles are the most robust and practical choice with underfloor heating. I like the classic tile look at most in the bathroom area. However, there are really great wood-look tiles that also have the wood grain. This combines the advantages of parquet (warm appearance) with those of tiles (robustness). The price is also not higher than that of good parquet. Another advantage would be that you can lay them throughout all rooms (bathroom, living room, kitchen, hallway) without changing materials, i.e. without steps or joints.
What do you think?
We will also have the entire living-dining-kitchen area tiled with wood-look tiles. For exactly the reasons you mentioned, it's by far the best choice for us.
