50 euros including installation, you have to see what you get. Often these are tiles up to 20, maybe 25 euros. Not that they are bad, just not the large modern formats. With large formats or mosaics or installation work with a lot of cutting, there is an additional charge.
In 2017 we paid 60 euros per sqm without tiles. In addition, 2x surcharge for the showers. All the materials such as adhesive, sealing, joint material, shower slopes, etc. were included.

Including material? Then you will also be allowed to sample from your tiler's wholesaler, and there you usually pay the list price. That means if you take the tile you liked in the hardware store for €20 there, you end up at €40 or €50. And in the fine print of the construction performance description, it is often stated that out of the €50/m², €15 are calculated for the tile – and for that, there are exactly 3 ugly tiles in the wholesale trade. And the €50 only covers small formats, e.g. only up to 50x30. Larger ones naturally cost more to install.

Our basic idea was also that we wanted the same flooring everywhere. We liked parquet well, but we had rather mixed experiences with its durability. I grew up in a house with natural stone (Solnhofen natural stone as rubble, so very rustic) and it is simply indestructible. After 30 years it still looks like new.

That’s why we decided on tiles. Ultimately, we chose the tile "Castelvetro - Life - Color Beige". After 3 years we are still very satisfied and do not regret the decision. The floor is easy to clean and dirt isn’t immediately visible. The only drawback is the temperature. My wife assumed the floor would get as warm as in the aforementioned house of my parents. But since we always wear slippers, it’s okay. In summer it is always nice and cool, I love walking barefoot on it.

Well, that's not really true. I couldn't tell the difference with wood-look tiles. I stood in front of the tiles and would have sworn it wasn't a tile. The feel is definitely different, but as far as the look is concerned, nowadays you can get any tile in any look.

The laying is always included in the total price of the house and is not listed separately. You just subtract the EL accordingly. However, 50€/m² is intended for the sample selection, which is definitely a lot! The installation price doesn't matter for the sample selection.

The question is also about saving: What is important? I already described a few factors, see above. As often, I can't necessarily link quality to price.

After consulting with the construction company, it works as follows: 50.00€/m² is stated in the construction and service description, I go to the specialist dealer, look at the prices (all are displayed there), take a tile I like (for example 40€) and then get 10€ credited per m². The installation costs are always included (with us even 60x60).

Excerpt from the construction and service description: "All tiles are installed using the thin-bed method. Price category of tile delivery up to 50.00€/m² including VAT. Installation is included in the scope of services ...... (also 60x60).

It’s clear to me, or am I misunderstanding something?

Those are also my concerns... Does underfloor heating really help much? I only know it from home, where the tiles were really warm with underfloor heating, but I'm unsure if this is still the case in today's airtight houses.
