You can feel the underfloor heating in the bathroom. In the rest of the house only when it is really very cold outside.

Well, you just have to remember that with a heat pump and a desired efficiency, the supply temperature is 30°. That means the tiles will be warm up to a maximum of 30°, aside from warming by solar gains. Your body temperature is around 37°, and the sole of your foot maybe about 35° (?). So what happens when your relatively warm foot stands on a colder surface? The supply temperatures in old houses, probably with gas or even oil heating, were rather around 45-50°, if not more. That’s why such a floor feels warm.

I understand up to 60x60. "Wood-look tiles" in long format are then not included as far as I can see. Also, the price refers to that of the specialist dealer; the special items at the DIY store do not apply.

I definitely do not want to talk you out of the tiles, please don’t misunderstand me. We ourselves have tiled the entire ground floor and think it’s great. It’s just often the case that many homeowners don’t understand the construction service description and are then shocked by the invoice. Did you visit the tile wholesaler your general contractor named for you in the showroom? Also ask about your preferred tile size and if there is an extra charge, have it given to you in writing.

That is correct. That is why we have laid a large Berber rug loosely next to the couch in the living room. You can also place a runner at the passageways. These can simply be shaken out from time to time, in very bad cases also taken to the cleaners, or you can get a new rug if you want a visual change without having to replace the entire floor.

I wouldn't see it that critically. Our "everything except bathrooms" tiles, 60x60, light gray, basically like those from , were priced at 20€/sqm at the specialist dealer. In the bathrooms, we took a collection with patterns for the floor, also 60x60, which were priced at 40€/sqm.

We didn't look at wood-look tiles at all, so I don't know about them. But for 50€ you should also have a wide choice at the specialist dealer without paying extra.

50 EUR/m² tile price in the construction specifications is rather good, in my opinion. I don't know it off the top of my head, but I had seen 20, at most 35 EUR/m² in various construction specifications. My general contractor had the 35 EUR/m² but wanted a horrendous amount (about 10,000) for just 65m² of tile area (wall and floor tiles, including the shower). I then had that removed.
