or or all those who can think in floor plans... : could there be a staircase variant that would provide relief with the current exterior dimensions without at least blowing up the entire ground floor in terms of layout?

With the kitchen and the utility room, I know what you mean. Maybe one could consider relocating the entrance into the line of sight of the dining table and assign the corner, which is currently a covered entrance, to the utility room? Regarding the kitchen, this here would already be a significant improvement for us in terms of storage space. Of course, one develops and their requirements evolve, but eventually, of course, we'll be just two again (not wanting to plan specifically for that time right now, I hope my girls will stay with us for a long time :) ). I would actually prefer to create more freedom in the utility room or dining area.

I have an idea, but I can’t draw it... :

1. we expand the utility room by the covered entrance (adds about 4.5 sqm) with possibly a door from the hallway instead of from the kitchen
2. front door would then be opposite the wardrobe (the sightline is then obviously quite bad) or even further towards the stairs
3. wall between kitchen / utility room is moved 10 cm upwards according to plan, thus the kitchen unit would be 3.70 m and the dining area would gain another 10 cm (wardrobe obviously loses space)
4. glass door gone again and thus stairs a bit longer? What might bother me then is the unobstructed view from the dining table to the possibly front door
5. we give up the west terrace door on the side in the living area and extend the wall, thus allowing for a bigger couch
6. laundry chute then rather from bathroom or dressing room?

Would this be an approach with which I could go to the architect again?

Regarding your last questions, I can't tell you anything because I have only partially dealt with the floor plan. I don't like the interior WC on the ground floor, but what I personally don't like at all is the location of the parents' bed under the window. I would position the bed with the headboard against the gallery wall and then move the entrance from the dressing room towards the exterior wall (foot of the bed). It's just a small change. I would simply find it cozier.

However, the wall is only 320 cm wide and that could get quite tight.

Right. I got the measurements wrong. Too bad - then it’s really a bit tight.

What do you want then? - I warn against ANY staircase of the "sculpture" type in a general contractor planning! - GCs are ordinary bakers and therefore unsuitable for wedding cakes. I emphasize once again my hope that this is a freelance architect, explicitly not the draftsman of the construction contractor.
