The best thing is to write that as a must-have built-in kitchen dimension in the contract! Then your general contractor has to figure out how the rough construction dimension has to be. Also, the plasterers and masons will (hopefully) pay attention if a minimum dimension is written big and bold somewhere.

Well then, I’m naturally in favor of an aquarium.

I thought that at first too, but I believe the wardrobe corner will be quickly filled with jackets, shoes, bags, coat hooks, and stuff up to the ceiling.

Nothing easier than that: simply do not plan fantasy dimensions, but "according to old fathers’ custom" in whole octameters. Anyone who cannot divide a meter into eight equal steps should not become an architect or mason. Every sawing operation leads to further (as the criminologist says) "cover-up acts." Outwards, to the other side. The transom window is a good idea. It is both superfluous here and unnecessarily more expensive, and the variety of formats here is also a bit questionable. That must be the explanation for the strange lines. For the southwest child’s room, it will be sufficient to reduce the southern window area. Never plan room dimensions "exactly" — round up here as well (see above, whole steps). In this case, that means 3.70/3.76 m (with a 24 cm / 17.5 cm wall).

I find that the problem of laundry through the kitchen disappears into thin air when you recognize the lack of space in the utility room! We have slightly more, are two people, and have the laundry situation upstairs. The room is still tight, even though it is constantly tidied up and decluttered. Besides, I find the kitchen furniture far too little. Island is 180? 180 remain as a surface for electrical appliances and coffee machine… then an area for a fruit bowl, tomatoes, and everyday items that also stand outside because of the lack of cabinets… virtually no workspace remains. The niche at the top of the kitchen is a total of 360cm in the room and would take up 65cm for extra cabinets in the dining area. Disproportionately much space would be both hallways on the ground and upper floors as well as at the bottom left between the sofa and dining area. I would say: appearances are deceiving, the design has several drawbacks. For me, the mentioned lack of space would be unsatisfactory, also insufficient for a large house.

No, rather 370 cm .. because for a 360 cm cabinet, 2 to 3 cm panels are added on the right and left to ensure distance from the wall. So around 365 cm plus wall plaster.

And I had the impression that the kitchen did not seem that tiny. Apparently, one is mistaken there. We would be at the kitchen planner next week. Let's see what he says about it.

Do you perhaps have a creative suggestion again on how this could be optimized? :)
