I’m not daring to enter the lion’s den yet...

Ah ok. Then I misunderstood you.

See page 34; post #200
There is only one site sketch, since the development plan is currently being prepared by the municipality.

Really good ideas.

Having the staircase in the living area like definitely has its charm. I have to admit, I like that very much!
However, in my opinion, the entrance area becomes quite cramped and the high wall created by the stairs overall feels very oppressive. Also, the open space on the upper floor above the entrance area would disappear then, wouldn’t it?

We will certainly adopt the guest WC like that.

Try moving the staircase about 60cm to the right according to the plan... and move your central load-bearing wall, that is the corners at the entrance and dining area. This will take the staircase out of the hallway and make it a bit narrower... Would a 90-degree staircase approach be tasteful for you? This is just an attempt to see what is still possible. I myself currently have no time.

So I really like it. You have my OK. Here are maybe two points you could think about:

1. In the parents' bathroom, possibly swap the toilet and the shower. If you don't have controlled residential ventilation, the moist air tends to accumulate in the shower, which you can better get rid of through the proximity to the window. I am very picky about moisture in the bathroom and possible mold risk. Also, the toilet is probably used more often, so you don't have to walk around the washbasin every time.

2. I would plan the front of the kitchen island (the side facing the dining table) so that you have coasters, salt + pepper, napkins etc. quickly at hand and don't always have to run into the kitchen. It's a small thing, but those are things you need several times a day.

Thanks. We still have a bit of time until the building application in I.Q 2021 to fine-tune a few details. Maybe I'll really present the plan on "Die Höhle der Löwen"...

Basically a good idea. The disadvantage is, of course, that if you spend some more time on the toilet (you know what I mean ), you're sitting on display. On the other hand, the toilet is more private and better shielded from view.

Also, the walking distance from the shower is shorter and you get less wet...

The T-wall isn't supposed to be built up to the ceiling anyway... So moisture could then rise over the T-wall to the window.

Practical tip. We will take that into account, thanks

then I would also plan a window. Or you make a glass door at the WC
