Wow, you really chose the finest of the finest for the equipment I'm curious to see where you end up price-wise! I would rather plan and choose a kitchen myself than be restricted by the prefabricated house manufacturer.

Haha no offense, some people would find one or two frills in the list. Your budget is considerable, but I am still curious whether it will be enough, you have quite a lot planned. It seems to me that your love of planning is best placed with a prefab house manufacturer at first. Nonetheless, especially if I were building in a region where construction prices are not yet exorbitant, I would inquire more with local providers.

I think the floor plan is planned in such a way that with relatively little effort – should it really bother us in the future – a door can be installed in the hallway afterwards... Therefore, since it worked very well for 3 years with different daily rhythms (she a student; I fully employed), we would first like to leave it as it is.

We have initially included everything in order to possibly cut back later. The kitchen is only included for comparability. It may then be cut out afterwards and ordered separately. Fingerhaus told us they have a cooperation with a kitchen studio and there are min. 50% discount (probably on the RRP – which we all know means normal prices). So just have everything offered and cut back later. We want to keep the specifications as similar as possible for all providers to enable comparability.

The house is offered by FingerHaus in KFW 55 standard...

We are curious. However, we expect that the budget will be fully used or even that FingerHaus will go over it. We should actually still reserve a buffer of about 8% for price increases. Ergo, the offer from FingerHaus should be a maximum of about 430,000 EUR.

By the way, FingerHaus thought we had set too much for incidental construction costs (our approach 70,000 EUR)...

Did she say anything about the drainage of the children's bathroom? That would currently still come down next to the terrace door in the living room. Also, the toilet flush is directly next to the parents' bedroom - I would much more likely miss the double wall there.
