If you really want to run the cooking channel professionally, the cameras also need a certain distance from the stove etc. A closed kitchen would then be counterproductive again, because (camera-)man has to find space behind the device standing as well. For a hobby-entertainment-gadget, it's okay in the house. As soon as you want to make decent money with it, you need a separate studio. I had a similar starting point. Now I have work and home separated, otherwise "woman" never stops working.
