Yes, and the dryer accordingly as well. But you can't just put away laundry every day. So there has to be a place to temporarily put it down where you can sort it later in peace. Some pieces you might also prefer to hang up, then you need a drying rack, which also takes up space.

True, that also takes up space. I have 8 sqm for 3 people and there is no ironing board in there.
