No, backup kitchen and utility room are two different things. One belongs to your wife's dream kitchen and also serves as storage space. Believe me, you want that.
In the utility room, however, the dirty laundry is lying around. It shouldn't be stored next to the Christmas roast if possible. Also buckets, vacuum cleaner, and similar stuff. Don’t make it too small - you need the space.

I also see the notebook with workplace in the living room as unproblematic. In fact, I will set up my living room with a PC desk at the next shopping trip. The notebooks currently always lie around on our sofa, even though we have an office. It’s just nicer to be together in the cozy corner.

You want to save space, I understand. But what you eliminate downstairs must also go upstairs, and then you run short.

Well, the more wishes and people, the more difficult it gets. The house grows from post to post. I'm afraid that at some point you will have to take the red pen out after all.

Yes....I will take your last plan as a basis and will tell the architect what might still need to be changed.

What else can I say besides *thank you very much*?!

I will get back to you then....

Have a nice weekend!!

If the small bathroom upstairs is removed, it relaxes the situation a bit. I'm now coming to 9.45 x 11.5m + bay window.

I only placed a few common items in the utility rooms so that you can see the space requirements. In the laundry room, washing machine + dryer, a drying rack + 1 laundry basket (which will not be enough). In the technical room, heating + water storage tank, electrical system, water connection, and a cabinet for tools + bucket and broom.

Hello everyone,

here’s another update from me:

- don’t be surprised, I already told Katja, I couldn’t have her implement her draft directly, there was something with the walls etc. (according to the architect).

the first preliminary draft from the architect was revised again.

-upstairs, a children’s room should be made larger, in case another child comes along (that would be the 4th child), then initially two siblings would share one room, I think it’s reasonable up to a certain age or maybe it won’t work out with the child .,

We know how much space we need, I’m still bothered by this unevenness upstairs, maybe it’s architecturally difficult to implement ? (I told the architect beforehand)......

On the ground floor, the guest/office room should actually be removed, maybe it was too much of a pity and the architect left it in anyway (dead space), or maybe it makes more sense for us due to age ?. possibly it could be made smaller, so the living area becomes bigger?

Maybe the bedroom and children’s room 3 should be swapped on the upper floor?

Just got everything fresh ........ haven’t said anything to the architect yet, want to gather my thoughts first.

Now it’s my turn again, feel free to vent ...just kidding, I appreciate every further suggestion.

Have a nice day!

Thanks!
