The TV corner at the back is intentional, and not a passageway.The more I look at it, the more convoluted I find the access to the all-purpose room. For that reason, the sofa then still feels too far away to me. HAR is much too small for your multifunction. And the all-purpose room is all too elongated. Here is my suggestion, but only to be seen as a sketch. The stairs would need to be enlarged and mirrored, the cardboard walls adjusted.
In the sketch, I see an even larger (dark) hallway. The entrance is oriented to an existing building, it is satisfactorily bright. Well, you just head towards the stairs :) But apart from completely redoing the floor plan, is there really only the option to enlarge the utility room by moving the kitchen further back? Any other remarks regarding daylight on the upper floor?I completely agree with you. What bothers me most about the original draft is this uninviting hallway. You come in and enter a dark hole with stairs. The exit lies convoluted, narrow and inconspicuous around the corner.
