I also don’t want to have no storage room by the kitchen – not necessarily for food, that’s true, that doesn’t work in the new houses because they are too warm, but for the rest of the kitchen stuff. Storage with cheap shelves is cheaper than expensive kitchen cabinets. So I find that more appealing too, but we’ve already had countless discussions here about it. Some want it, others find it unnecessary. It’s pointless to discuss further here. It’s best to simply accept the other’s preference without comment.
So, I quickly scribbled again:

Kitchen on the left side of the plan with a long kitchen line and island – which could also be made into a peninsula connected to the bottom wall of the plan. Between them (unfortunately first scribbled in wrong) a sliding door to a long pantry – measurements still need to be taken precisely. A shelf should fit on the long wall; whether there’s room for a freezer cabinet is doubtful. But considering the size of the originally planned pantry, this one is much more comfortable.
Guest room has shifted to the right side of the plan, the utility room to the left. The door to the utility room unfortunately takes away my opportunity to install a nice wardrobe there. One could consider accessing the utility room via the pantry or guest WC, then there would be space for a nice wardrobe.
The entrance no longer feels cramped because you have a view all the way to the dining room and terrace.
The kitchen is also directly next to the terrace, also an advantage.
The small, earlier pantry I would now make accessible from the hallway and use as a cleaning supplies closet.
I turned the oven more toward the current living room, but it could still get pretty hot at one dining spot. The space behind the corner sofa by the window can be used as a cozy reading nook with a nice armchair.
The dining table can also possibly be rotated 90°.
Windows naturally have to be adjusted accordingly.
I didn’t draw the upper floor, but the street kid goes where the bathroom and storage room are now; bathroom moves where the street kid is now. The second child moves where the sleeping room is now and the sleeping room consequently goes where the second child is now; the dressing room is between child 2 and the bedroom.
Advantage: all connections are then on the left side of the plan – before, the guest WC was on the left, everything else on the right.
As I said, this is just scribbled in for now, possibly more can be achieved by moving a few walls, maybe changing an exterior wall (does the floor plan have to stay like this or do you still have potential to maybe extend the house half a meter in the N/S direction? Then the dining table rotated 90° would probably be the better solution).
But just as a basic idea.
