You mean your walls are so thin and you regularly turn the horror flick of the month up to full volume at night? I would simply make the wall thicker or better soundproofed if grandma would otherwise be woken up from her sleep.

Additionally, I adapted a draft from the archive, which might also fit. Knee wall here at 1.20m – I think that should work for the single-story and provides a noticeable extension at the peak. Height-wise, it also works in my opinion, as long as you’re not aiming for a 4m ceiling height in the living room.







Without the staircase to the peak, you could probably build noticeably smaller without significantly losing living quality.

Oh, the second option also has some interesting possibilities. I hope the new draft will come next week, maybe also with details about the roof, then we can compare. It would be nice to finalize the floor plan with a maximum of 2 updates.
