I just read through the "discussion" in the green forum (well - not everything) and would like to answer: that he/she believes they can do it better than the experts. Alternatively - he/she would rather have the cent rust in their pocket before the gem is invested meaningfully

Rhenish greetings

I still played around a bit ..

Whether the technology will work out like this .. unfortunately, I can't judge. Alternatively, one could maybe push the washing machine/dryer under the stairs and place a storage shelf in the corner above and the technology for that on the lower left.

Utility room now intended as general storage, technology room, and for tools as well as washing. The window on the right side could possibly also become an exit, also shifted further upwards on the plan if the technology has to be placed at the lower right. Exit to hang the laundry outside right away.

Hallway with enough storage for all jackets and shoes, guest WC also has appropriate storage.

Under the stairs still space for basically a mini pantry, beverage crates, long-lasting supplies, etc. as well as vacuum cleaner/mop.

On the upper floor the niche behind the stairs for a large walk-in shower. WC ends up above the entrance hallway ... but I think something can be done with the WC drainage possibly due to a reinforced ceiling (living room .. ceiling span, statics).

Kitchen now quite open with .. I prefer sink/work island. But you can swap sink and cooktop. All tall cabinets on the lower side of the plan, which keeps the room open. A glass sliding door could be installed to the hallway.

Direct terrace access next to the kitchen, but also from the living area, which includes the small computer corner on the far right.

The upstairs hallway is just dark .. either a skylight above the stairs or lighting controlled by motion sensors, so it automatically lights up when going up and down.

Ground floor approx. 65 sqm and upper floor approx. 63 sqm

In the "green forum," I was already told that 130sqm and square don't really go well together, and somehow that's true. That's why we have now thought a bit more towards wider, but not so long. So, it doesn't have to be square, nor does it have to be a city villa, nor are the 130sqm fixed. I think with such specifications you don't get very far. We now have the idea of a wide floor plan with kitchen, dining area and living area next to each other on the south-southwest side. The kitchen not extending all the way to the front of the house, instead there is a utility room and WC there. The living area on the other side, however, extends continuously. On the ground floor, everything resembles the design of a certain Polish prefab house provider (I'll say 140 A2 without naming the manufacturer or linking anything – however, utility room, WC on the left, large continuous living area on the right, and some kind of separation between the hallway and dining area).

kbt09: Hexagonal rooms are apparently frowned upon in architect circles as far as I have learned. The niches behind the staircase are hardly usable. Even if you could use the one upstairs as a shower, I imagine such an elongated niche somehow uncomfortable. But thank you very, very much for your ideas.

Hmm, I really don't like the mentioned house, for example (EDIT: "really don't" is wrong, I do like the kitchen location, for example)... it has about 10 sqm more built-up area and then a lot of unused space on the upper floor and, of course, the sloping ceilings. If I continue to look at the upper floor and try to orient the children's rooms towards the south, it will be difficult. And, if the children's rooms are then oriented towards the south, they have slit-like windows in that direction. The floor plan would need a lot of revision.

I can only recommend that you really go to an architect.
