I find this morning's draft better, and forget that stupid fashion nonsense with the corner windows. Build it with partly lightweight partition walls on the upper floor, so you can divide the floor plan a bit more freely.

The child who was the least well-behaved always gets in there...

I would do it differently: only two children's rooms, the larger one for two children, and the smaller children's room always goes to the child who was the most well-behaved (or by lottery) for the next month. That way, there is a sibling-sharing room and a single-occupancy children's room.

Yes, the architect was purposely making jokes :) He knew that I didn't want my parents' room to be in the south and that I hate balconies :)

Well, I also meant it ironically.
By the way, I know what I'm talking about since my mancave/workroom is exactly 8 m². There's room for a desk, a filing cabinet, a shelf, and a sofa bed. If I didn't have a floor-to-ceiling window, which I also want to use in the medium term, a dresser would still fit in there and a few shelves could go above the sofa bed. For me, that's okay (I also regularly sleep here), but for a child, it's definitely not suitable. Better to make a room bigger and fit two children in. My opinion.

I wouldn't have thought to accept 8 sqm for this room :)
I will try to expand it to at least 11 square meters so we can be at ease when the third child comes.

If you manage to move the stairs only 10 cm upward according to the plan and rotate the direction of movement, I would plan something like this:

Yes, but the bedroom is a bit of a disaster. If you manage to move the stairs just 10cm towards the top of the plan and change the walking direction, I would plan something like this: 3m of wardrobe space + dresser - that should be doable in a detached house.
