Of course, it is important to think about the furnishing, but it should still remain universal. That means for me:
- Lighting as evenly distributed as possible or directly 2 sources
- Door not directly in a corner in order to have a wardrobe behind it
- Many power outlets
- Ideally LAN and Sat in diagonal corners (they do not have to be directly connected, otherwise multiswitch and patch panel would explode)

Although this could not be done differently afterwards in our case, the Sat distribution under the roof has the advantage that you can quickly pull a cable on the upper floor. The same applies to LAN, if you deposit an emergency line there just in case.

Children's rooms are often redesigned over the course of childhood. Partly due to different priorities, partly because sometimes it just has to be something new :-)
Just the bed alone changes from a baby cot to a children's bed, a loft bed, a double bed (today already an absolute must-have from about 10 years old). The children's play corner eventually gives way to a desk, console, sofa, dressing table, etc.

This is the safest approach with a double safeguard. I mean, even in house construction, 100 euros are still 100 euros. Normally, the least would be so generous to spend this money. For child 2 (floor plan in #1), I would place TV and LAN between the windows. In the top-left corner of the plan, there will probably be a larger wardrobe. For child 2, I would do the same. No question, having everything on every wall is great. But if you never use it... I'm just saying... ;-)

I installed, connected, and also pulled the cables for your LAN and satellite sockets myself. The material is not free either, but you can initially put cover caps on blindly. Cables cost almost nothing. If, of course, every socket is billed, you quickly end up with hefty sums.

You can also overdo it. One socket per square meter is such an exaggeration. Likewise, the two network (double?) sockets in the room. Nowadays, nobody needs a network cable for their smartphone and tablet anymore, and no one wants one for their laptop on the bed either.

We have a double LAN socket and a satellite socket under the window, as well as 2 power outlets. Then we made sure that a power outlet is easily accessible from every corner. Everything else is done with cables.

You can see how different the demands can be. A socket didn’t cost us 20 euros and LAN/TV was available for well under 50 euros, all in. But I was happy to work almost 2 weeks on the construction site with my father-in-law for that.

Surely a few sockets are left over, but the days of extension triple power strips are over except for 2 or 3 exceptions.

And I don’t think 4 LAN connections are wrong in a children’s room. Of course, you can connect 4 smartphones, 2 laptops, 4 TVs, 6 game consoles, 2 printers, 2 PCs, 1 NAS, 1 photovoltaic system, 4 tablets, 2 Gameboys, refrigerator, robot vacuum cleaner, Thermomix, oven, washing machine and dryer to WLAN. But do I want that? No.
