It may be that 3.85 still works, but that 4.00 or even more are statically not possible is really nonsense. I got 4.29 without a support beam or anything like that. And that from my [GÜ], who usually had a hard time with my requests.

Thanks for the answer. Latest floor plan version has 2 children's rooms of about 16 sqm. I wanted 3 similar children's rooms, so shrinking 2 children's rooms in the south. The architect said he would have to automatically reduce the living/dining area downward because of a load-bearing wall.

I suspect this is meant like this: one wall of the living room has to be moved because a wall on the upper floor would otherwise be poorly and not neatly positioned above it. One solution could be to construct the relevant wall on the upper floor as a lightweight partition wall instead of a masonry wall.

Hello, the architect has sent a new floor plan version with many bugs :(. He did not enlarge the living room to 4 m, he installed a door into the walk-in closet, wrote the size of the guest toilet incorrectly, etc..o_O There are two versions for the ground floor. Entrance from the west and entrance from the north. We will further reduce the children's rooms with lightweight walls (KNAUFF) to enlarge the bathroom. I will talk to him and until then please help us to finalize the floor plan. So, I wanted a 2-line minimalist kitchen (with a peninsula) and a double-door refrigerator. Is that possible? Maybe a single door to the outside or a large window? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

How does he even manage to include bugs? Would you not simply redraw the bugs out yourself? I'm afraid there's a load-bearing wall exactly there; that won't be possible at all. What kind of materials are even being used for the masonry? - Wall thicknesses in neat ten centimeters (10, 20, especially: 40) I don't know as common practice at all. For heaven's sake, remove the corner window next to the TV and make the window there like on the upper floor. As it is, it's a disaster, the structural engineer will cough at the draftsman a bit. I am Prussian and Protestant - that already means something when my spontaneous first reaction is "holy Mother Mary!" and I want to light a candle for you. "Uiuiuiuiuiuiui," Samson from Sesame Street would say ;-)

Hello first of all. So, I’m really not a floor plan expert, but what immediately stands out to me is that the drafter has some kind of problem with doors. In the first draft for the ground floor, there are three different door sizes – or does it just look that way? Utility room (or is that an office?) with a mini door. Kitchen a bit bigger. Living room looks normal.

Guest bathroom with sliding door? I’d think twice about that. We just had that in a hotel, and let me put it this way: you really have to know each other well.
In the second draft, the guest bathroom has a normal door, but how are you supposed to open it when you’re inside?
Door openings partly go in the wrong direction, and upstairs they are so close to the wall that it’s questionable whether a baseboard will fit on the wall.
