Yes, I have. But it is not applicable for you like this.

We have spoken with the architect and decided on 3 children's rooms. Now we only have 1 bathroom on the upper floor (approx. 6 sqm) with 2 sinks, but on the ground floor a guest WC with shower. The architect is sending me new floor plans tomorrow (2 variants - entrance from the west and entrance from the north). Unfortunately, due to the house's statics, we have to reduce the living/dining room from 4 m to 3.85 m :(. I told the architect about the door frames etc. (thanks 11ant!). Maybe it's the hope for a better floor plan.

Do you know if there was no structural solution to maintain the living room at 4 meters? There are houses with living rooms larger than 4 meters. But presumably other structural factors play a role there.

For 5 people?

What is this nonsense?
Can the architect only move walls?
4 m is already borderline and going even narrower is out of the question!

Then he has to make the statics suitable (have them made).

Up there, not the only one. Oh come on. I had a four-meter-wide living room for over twenty years, which would have worked even 15 cm narrower. Even with large family gatherings.

Currently for 4 people. Maybe 5 in the future. It will be a guest room.
Do you have any ideas? Thank you :)

What’s this nonsense about?
Can the architect only move walls?
4 m is already borderline and narrower is not an option at all!

Then he just has to make (or have made) the statics fit.

Yes, the architect only moved walls. I hope there is another way to solve static problems.
