However, charging the hot water storage tank is comparatively inefficient, especially if you overcharge at an even higher temperature. Both variants have storage losses. Hm. Presumably, you can calculate that; I think both are about the same.

If the system's control allows it and is flexible enough, one could also shift the operating times of the heat pump into the daytime as already described. That is, when the sun is shining on the roof and the outside air temperature is correspondingly higher than at night. Then run the system with an increased flow temperature (if the control temporarily permits this and detects that free electricity is currently coming from the roof), which would then overheat the screed and cause it to release heat for a longer period. In the best case, this would mean that the heat pump does not have to run at night. That's the theory; practice is another matter...
