So, today we went to the roofer and chose our tiles. After that we went to the construction site. The ground floor ceiling is in place, the staircase is installed. Thank God the bricklayers put foil over the ceiling and closed all openings in the house, because when we were there the first snow came. Hopefully it can continue next week. Because we are now under some pressure due to the [Photovoltaic system]. During the year (no one knows exactly when) the cap for the feed-in tariff will be reached. If we put the system into operation too late, the investment will never pay off. I am actually considering canceling the whole thing. Because it is not profitable with self-consumption alone.

I share your thoughts. I also looked into it this week and since we won’t be commissioning the photovoltaic system before summer 2020 anyway, I will wait and see what happens. Using pure common sense, I would say they can’t completely put it on hold given the current discussions... but who knows! We haven’t assigned the kitchen yet because we want to wait for an appointment on Wednesday. MM does have his great discount offers and also did the classic “I’ll ask the boss what’s still possible,” but in my opinion, it’s still too expensive.

Could you give me, preferably via PM, a brief overview of the procedure with DHI regarding appointments? Like roughly how the process was in preparation on your end. That would be cool so I know what I can prepare, how, and when. Thanks!

For PN I still need 12 posts. First of all, you have to wait for the final construction planning. Otherwise, all the utility providers need to be organized. DHI either does this themselves or at least prepares it for you. As soon as the building application is approved and the construction planning is available, it starts. Only when the ground floor is standing do you need to decide on electrical installation, roof, etc. We still haven’t planned a finished kitchen to this day. But since we know where the appliances, etc. will go, that’s not a problem. We will take care of the tiles in the next few weeks. As a rule, DHI will get in touch when something is due. It can also be short notice though. We are now pushing through with the photovoltaics. Maybe we can get the system up and running in March briefly over the construction power, that is enough to secure the funding. Hopefully the electrician cooperates...

We can manage that

OK... so I'll keep quiet now until the building application is approved and Dirk has finished the work planning. As soon as the building permit is granted, I want to carry out the earthworks in suitable weather. For that, I still need to complete the BAFA application because I have to order and install the trench collector.
OK, how the kitchen is coming is already fixed, if necessary I would draw up my own plan.
When did you receive a contract from DHI?
I also wanted to finalize the tiles for the bathrooms so that we can order the right bathroom furniture. I’d rather not have to change that later.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you with the photovoltaic system. I guess I’ll have to wait and, if necessary, only install the pre-installation.

And thanks in advance for your info!

We will clarify the contract via PM.

Do you already have the soil survey and structural analysis?
Are you only excavating or also doing gravel etc.? Because compressive strength needs to be checked.

The soil report has been available since December. The structural analysis is coming tomorrow. I am excavating and partially filling. Then I will do the sewer connection and gravel for the floor slab. After that, planum acceptance by means of plate load test.
