We asked again about the bathtub yesterday, and the lady from R+F said that by now they plan 80% of the bathrooms without a tub. Of course, I understand the argument with the kids, but we would have a solution a few houses down the street. However, so far I only know the tub as a storage place, and we just don’t want one. And I can’t get rid of the utility room on the upper floor anymore, my better half has taken a liking to it.

I understand the wall to the dressing room and it was also on my to-do list for the planning phase. It’s drywall and therefore flexible. There will be a better solution, but a separation should definitely be made. With the current Pax we have more than enough. But I wasn’t completely satisfied with the solution myself.

I’m glad the electrician is good. I hope I’ll get proper support from there to realize it the way I imagine.

You will have a construction meeting beforehand in the presence of the electrician, the plumbing and heating installer, as well as the site manager (DHI) and architect. There you can express and discuss all your wishes. Think on a larger scale when it comes to electrical and heating, for example, a meter cabinet with 4 slots. Your heat pump with passive cooling function, etc.

Yes, I am already looking forward to the appointment. I am also currently optimizing the wall in the bedroom.

I spent the night thinking about the dressing area and developed the following solution without changing the room sizes. Only two narrower floor-to-ceiling windows need to be altered. The office and child 1 will still be swapped, and then the wall shifted so that a niche of 1.65m is created for a desk.

Yep, better that way.

By focusing on floor-to-ceiling windows and their symmetry in the exterior design of the house, valuable interior space is unfortunately always lost. We deliberately refrained from that and tried as much as possible to concentrate on practical use. The windows are therefore more or less tossed together randomly. Also: symmetry is boring

Yes, it was never really intended. But it happened at some point and then Dirk and I moved the windows so that it was symmetrical. But that was really the fixed point of the matter. I also like it much better that way. Just didn't know that there is also a 40cm Pax.

The building application was signed today and will be sent to the office on Monday in the approval process.

Hopefully a final kitchen plan at a good price tomorrow morning.
