I sent you a private message. For photovoltaic systems, conduits are laid anyway. The meter cabinet will also come with 4 slots. The only downside is that with a later installation, you'll have to deal with the scaffolding costs again.

Thank you for the detailed message. I will read it calmly this evening! Regarding the scaffolding, I would combine that with the fine plastering.

Unfortunately, no news to report. The ground floor ceiling is still drying. Damn frost. There's a tiny heater on the ground floor, I wonder if that does any good... besides electricity costs

The upper floor is finished. Today we are starting with the roof framework. The roof should then be finished by mid/end of next week. We are more than happy about that. In some rooms, you could skate around on ice skates.

Unfortunately taken in the dark:

On the carnival weekend, we will apply the burn-through protection. Hopefully, it will be reasonably warm. We wanted to do it before the windows are installed. I don't feel like taping everything off.

Hello everyone,

we are just about to have the notary appointment for our land purchase and will very likely also build with DHI.

We have already worked on a few drafts with Dirk and are very satisfied so far.
Now Ecki is busily calculating our offer – we are very curious where we will end up (the budget is unfortunately very tight and is €300,000 for the house including incidental construction costs with a bit more personal contribution).

Have you had the contract checked? If so, did anything have to be changed (hidden costs, etc.)?
So far, DHI gives the impression of being very price-transparent and honest – this was also confirmed by a couple of friends.

What do you think is the deeper purpose of the drywall partitions on the upper floor? According to Ecki, it is supposed to be purely for preventing cracks. Other companies like RKR say it would basically only be cheaper, and solid walls would not have more cracks either.

Thanks in advance for your reply
Best regards, Reven

Nothing is really transparent there. It clearly runs according to the motto: No idea how it works, but it works. The business model is based on a so-called maximum price, which can be undercut but not exceeded, as long as you stay within the framework set by Ecki. If you are looking for the 100% (legally) secure option, you are in the wrong place. But you probably won’t find that anywhere. DHI’s good reputation is not without reason. In Saarland, it basically runs on a basis of trust. The contract’s audit result would not please you.

So far, there is nothing negative to report from our side. DHI takes great care. Unfortunately, construction was hampered by the weather. The windows are supposed to be installed on Monday... I hope so anyway.

And yes, drywall partitions are cheaper. Counterquestion: Where do you see advantages in the solid walls on the upper floor?

Regarding RKR, I say nothing. There is currently a blog running (can be found on Google).
