Hello everyone,

for us, the interior finishing starts tomorrow. We have 2.5 weeks of vacation during which the ceilings will be wallpapered and the walls painted. Laminate flooring is also supposed to be laid, let's see if it all works out.

, painting the baseboard sealant is not a big task and the stuff isn’t expensive either

Regards
Philippe

Hello everyone,

I haven't been in touch for a long time, and there's a reason for that... I was busy because we moved in last Friday! It's a great feeling to live in your own house... look forward to it. Here and there, a few small things still need to be done, but overall everything fits!

Best regards
Timo

Hello Hello,

after a long back and forth, the house connections are now being laid into the house, and on Thursday and Friday the unit will be installed in the boiler room so that the heating-up program can begin. We have applied base sealing, partially tiled and painted the boiler room, and over the weekend we will paint the garage ceiling so that the garage door can also be installed. We will now have the gypsum walls on the ground floor professionally worked on, meaning "fiber fleece" and a matte coat, the same applies to the concrete ceiling. It's a shame that these additional works are not included in the calculation, because paint on gypsum and concrete in the boiler room and garage looks great aesthetically, but in the living areas in my opinion is an absolute no-go.

Otherwise, we are on GO and pretty sure to be in our own four walls by November 30th.

That’s the report on our construction site.

Regards Martin

Hello Martin,
sounds like there have been a few delays. But if things are moving forward again now, then everything is fine.
Our screed heating program is complete so far. Drywall is almost finished and the first tiles are already being laid on the walls.
We painted the garage and heating room completely a few weeks ago.
Have you already laid floor tiles in the heating room? We have not dared to do that yet due to the moisture in the screed.
We had the walls in the living rooms completely skimmed and will only paint them. For the ceilings in the living rooms, we are putting up a smooth fleece wallpaper everywhere. Our painter also recommended this, as it can bridge any cracks that may occur and later on a plaster can possibly be applied over it easily.
There is again busy activity on the construction site today. In the meantime, I have done the wiring for our ceiling spotlights in the drywall ceiling, which I still have to drill out in the next few days. The stub for the exhaust pipe of the range hood is already in place. I also still need to make the remaining suspension here.
So far, the following items were not included in our calculation:
* Aufbrennsperre (steht aber auch so in der Bauleistungsbeschreibung)
* Sockel-Dicht
* Trockenbau-Vorwandinstallationen
Otherwise, I am still absolutely satisfied. The craftsmen are all delivering absolutely high-quality work.

Yes, well delays that in my opinion should not have happened. But now we are behind and will make sure that something like that does not happen again, because unfortunately there is no bustling activity with us. Maybe we should find out what is going better for you or "worse" for us.... When did you actually start!? What exactly do you mean by drywall pre-wall installations?! Cisterns etc.?!

We have tiled half of the heating room, we will do the rest when the screed is dry. According to the screed installer, this procedure is completely fine. We wanted the heating to be placed on the tiles and not on the screed.

Regarding the drillings in the drywall ceilings, we first need to talk to the electrician or the drywall builder. In the kitchen, we decided on a Berbel ceiling lift hood, so we don’t have to do anything here.

Regards

Hello Martin,

so we filled in your "NoGo," sanded the plaster well, and then "just" painted it! I think it looks good and is completely sufficient. But of course, it’s a matter of taste.
We treated the ceilings with fiber fleece like Jochen did and then painted them. The living room, dining room, and kitchen had fiberglass wallpaper. Although we could have used fiber fleece there too. But whatever... I like it.

I still have a few little things to take care of in the house, and we’re also doing some planning for the outdoor area. 30 tons of gravel have already been used.

@ Jochen have you already got a wall box? Or an exhaust system? I can recommend the one from Fa. Naber, it really works well!

@ everyone
has anyone of you given any thought to a photovoltaic system incl. storage?
