Thank you for your contributions!

Yes, but the individual plots don’t exist yet – so far it’s one large area.

Yes, we have also thought about the wall – two rows of wardrobes are certainly nice as well, but we also very much like having some space in front of the bed. Our current bedroom is about 4x4 meters, and we really like that, especially since our bed is a special size (waterbed) and 20cm longer than most beds. But I’ll take another look. More wardrobe space can’t hurt.

Yes, that’s true – I’m not happy with the bathroom either – we also lack experience about how large the distances should be, but I can orient myself a bit on sample floor plans. I will take a closer look and try to improve it again.

Yes, admittedly: stairs are a horror to me as a layperson because I don’t know how big they need to be and how everything fits together. I’m hoping for help from whoever makes the "buildable" plan – this is just supposed to visualize my idea/wish. I had deliberately looked up "possible stair floor plans" with measurements but already thought it wouldn’t work out.

We definitely don’t want the utility room upstairs. I had a small office there at first, but that would really be small and I think I’d rather sit in the basement. We’ll see… 7 sqm is probably quite a lot, especially since we have the basement as you rightly say.

Sorry, you’re absolutely right – I always forget to indicate north. I’ll do that in the next draft – promise. North is pretty much exactly where the bathroom on the upper floor is.

So about Tetris: I’m very grateful for any concrete suggestions! Especially with the stairs, I’m afraid I can’t handle it properly as a layperson. I’ve considered leaving the storage room area upstairs open… that could be an option, it makes everything a bit airier and lets some light in. But for me it’s otherwise dead space because I know none of us would ever sit there to read etc.

Update upper floor - tried to implement your suggestions:

- wider dressing room will be difficult - I have now drawn our bed in the correct size (2.40 m long, 2.20 m wide)... if you move the wall so far that a second wardrobe fits, it becomes very tight in front of the bed
- storage room is now an open space - there should be a skylight there
- I tried to adjust the stairs - and extended the walls accordingly... integrated a corner in the bathroom so that you no longer hit your head when going from the ground floor to the upper floor :) That's how I understood it, right?
- bathroom redesigned... better in principle? The windows have become narrower because otherwise the shower would be in front of the window...
- north indicated ;)

Phew, I thought I would get a compliment ;) Stairs at least better?

I’m trying - really! Thanks for the tips... and what if you just swap the toilet and shower, with an additional partition wall?

Edit: I just noticed, then everything gets tight... I’ll keep pondering.
