Thank you for the response. If that is correct, because I understand it that way too, would the eaves height be affected by that? Asked in layman’s terms: If the area on which I place my house is 0.5m below the adjacent street at the height of the middle of the driveway, then for me: maximum eaves height 4.50m + the 0.50m, because it is below the street?

I am interested because of the possible roof pitch / knee wall height...

Have we already talked about what your development plan is called?

A colleague is currently building with Viebrockhaus. What he has reported and the correspondence he has shown are discouraging. Lengthy, destructive communication, repeated mistakes in drawings, promised schedule not being adhered to... And instead of dealing constructively with the mistakes made as a company, the customer is supposed to bear the resulting costs and preemptively waive possible legal claims. If he does not do this, Viebrockhaus refuses to continue with the construction project. Viebrockhaus was once apparently a recommendable provider. Those times seem to be over. They have been removed from our list.

In summary, from your description I get the impression that the colleague has a communication problem (this is a phenomenon that, according to my experience, typically does not have a one-sided distribution of causal factors).

In my view, only if one has a preference for the big names.

Hello everyone,

News: There were objections to the disclosure of the development plan - the area had to be replanned. This is now completed, and the development plan is on display again. Since there apparently were no other objections, it should pass this time.

Positive: My reserved plot has grown by about 100 sqm, now trapezoidal but overall somewhat wider - also in the area facing the street. That is of course positive.

The building window towards the street is now about 19.50m wide (previously 18.00m) and the entire plot is about 714 sqm (previously 606 sqm).

I am considering creating a new post about the plot later since it has changed significantly – but more on that later.

Now I would like to compile a list of possible general contractors (GU), since my previous choice – for whatever reason – is not desired in the building area (Viebrockhaus).

Weberhaus made a good impression on me, but there currently seem to be waiting times of over two years from signing the contract to the start of construction. Since I will only sign once I have finally acquired the plot, that is simply too long for me.

Which other 'high-quality' GUs do you know of that are reputed well and build in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (in the western area near the border to Schleswig Holstein)?

- ecoHaus
- Team Massivhaus (is somehow known locally as a cheap option – is that so?)
- Virtus Massivhaus
- Kern-Haus seems not to build in MV? Are there really "hard" boundaries? The building area is very close to Schleswig Holstein... I will inquire there.

Do you have any other recommendations? Preferably at least KFW40 standard, although I’m not sure if I overestimate this...
