I wouldn't turn the bed so that the headboard is against the partition wall, because there you only have a maximum of 300 cm for the bed and the person sleeping on the right has their head right next to the passage. If turning, then headboard at the top and maybe two narrow windows on the right and left of the bed and one window on the left wall. Then 300 cm room depth is also enough.

I think, in most cases, they will be more likely to be closets rather than dressing rooms. Dressing rooms make sense if the bathroom is ensuite. If I have to go through the hallway first, I take my clothes with me to the bathroom, so I only select there.

Closet-wise, a plan should be made. Perhaps 400 cm with 60 cm depth at the bottom and then 280 cm with only 40 cm depth at the top are enough. Then 200 cm width also works as closet space.

If you want 60 cm deep closets, ideally with sliding doors, then you have to calculate 66 to just under 70 cm depth for the wardrobes. Then 200 cm becomes very tight.

Yes, originally I only wanted to discuss a tiny section of the house there, but quickly the big picture was requested Thank you for the hints there!

Thanks for these concrete reference points, I will take them into account. The currently planned width is 220 cm.

I would place the house as far north as possible so that I also have the terrace exit at the dining room and, above all, sun on the terrace. On the north side (which also slightly faces east), I might not have any sun at all if the left neighbor places their house further back. Why don't you actually build with a basement right away if you plan almost 30 square meters of above-ground storage rooms?

Best regards
Sabine

If both partners get up together, you could swap the bedroom, bathroom, and dressing room in a circle and save some hallway space. Bathroom then about 10m² – making the bedroom spacious:

Oh wow, there are apparently also voices in favor of Südgarten

"Why don't you just build with a basement right away if you plan almost 30 square meters of storage rooms above ground?"
We actually wanted to, but the soil and water conditions do not allow it. So now a house that is actually too large for the plot without a basement...
