Since the basement has to be excavated anyway, we thought we might as well have the driveway to the garage dug out at the same time. Like in a parking garage where you also easily drive in at an angle. About 2 meters deep should be doable as a slope, right? Or are we thinking wrong here?
The shower/bathroom on the ground floor is actually intended for old age, in case you can no longer go up the stairs. At the moment, we only have a bathtub and are actually completely satisfied with it, whether for a quick shower or a long bath. Therefore, the bathroom downstairs would probably hardly be used, or maybe more in summer if you want to quickly rinse off.
For the stairs, I have now chosen the shortest option because I don't actually want to waste 6 sqm on stairs. At the moment, I already find the hallway almost too much wasted space, but well, the stairs have to go somewhere. At first, we wanted them in the living room as a design element, but now they have been moved into the entrance area to have more space in the living room. I really want to waste as little space as possible :(
Should we maybe reduce the size of the children's bedroom upstairs for a larger exit? But 1 meter should be more than enough, right? I mean, a door is only 80 cm and you can easily get through?
Are the two windows facing east plus the small window facing south really not enough? I have never really noticed that in our current apartment; it is actually never dark there.
