How good that the kitchen is not the most important room for everyone... I spent significantly more time on the bathroom and the tiles, the kitchen really went quickly.
Chosen brand - something local, Häcker.
Looked at what fronts they have - bam
Matching countertop - bam.
Kitchen shape = U,
Oven and dishwasher half-height, wide cooktop, SBS in between - there weren’t many options left for the rest.

The thing about the most important room was meant more metaphorically. In the past, the kitchen was the only heated room. And that is why people sat together there; that was where life happened. And today, that's often not much different. The best parties are kitchen parties, children often prefer to sit at the dining table in the kitchen to do their homework while lunch is being cooked right beside them. The "most important" could perhaps be better replaced by the "most social" (Note: superlative as a stylistic device).

I think we can agree that the kitchen is an absolutely important room where you can spend a lot of quality time.

What I find unfortunate is that some can only do this if the kitchen costs 40k or more.

My grandma had a shabby kitchen. There was a clay water filter, a board with cookies in a glass jar, a gas stove, a small fridge, and a small wooden table with 4 stools. Best time ever!

But I admit... these kitchens are something for the eyes. So, for 5-8k I would also get "something like that." But as I said... 40k and up for kitchens is, for me personally, a kind of "admission" that I'm just too uncreative and have to buy "beauty."

On the other hand... if the money is there and doesn't matter, then it’s okay. But taking out a loan for a kitchen and paying it off for 5 years is... well, let's say... strange. And typical of today's times, that the fridge with internet connection, BT, and Blu-ray player is too loud to watch TV peacefully...

Well, with 5-8 we just barely managed, but 40... no. We just have different priorities. I would never pay that much money for furniture. So we're mostly done with Ikea, but Sudbrock in the living room or a Poggenpohl kitchen really don't have to be. Just like it doesn't have to be a Gucci bag, a Chanel blazer, or a Q5 SUV. So simply put: we can't do anything with status symbols at all. I haven't been "cheap" for a long time, but affordable is okay, reasonable of course, sometimes also expensive if there are no alternatives. But overpriced, just because it's then exclusive... no thanks. Of course, price ranges are relative to everyone's budget.

I see Müllerin similarly to you Only I can't quite give up on Ikea. There are also high-quality ones like the Billy, nice hacks especially for the children's room And the price is the same What really bothers me about furniture stores are these today the sun-risen-in-the-west discounts

Everyone according to their own likes and needs. I just have to always hold back my grin when the kitchen (or other rooms) is only equipped to impress friends/neighbors/colleagues and the own needs are not recognized at all. The main thing is expensive ^^

And yes, I have acquaintances who put together their kitchen from classified ads, but with skill and taste also created wonderful rooms with little money, where you like to spend time. And coziness combined with the 15-euro filter machine plus a glass of water from the 20-cent Aldi bottle beats
