But absolutely, the low 80s parts are still being sold. If only so that you can score for the slightly higher corpus. Little MDF for a lot of money, welcome to the kitchen industry...

Hi Alex,

It's already fancy, but a decent faucet also costs 250-300€. I got the part for 250€ cheap as the lowest online price. Besides, like with the microwave, I have one less part lying around on the small countertop.

My wife only chose the color with me, otherwise I planned and coordinated everything. It was only important to her that she liked it herself.

But I have to say, if my wife had planned the kitchen herself, the kitchen would have been about 5000€ cheaper.
Then there would be no,
- Built-in microwave -300€
- Recirculation oven -1500€ because Ceran was desired
- thus only a normal oven -200€
- Side by side refrigerator -1500€
- No highboard -800€
- Boiling water tap -600€

I wouldn't have endured looking at such a kitchen in the open space for 20 years.

Thanks for reading

Especially the 80s. That was 40 years ago. My parents bought an Alno kitchen with a height of 87cm in 1997. But... the kitchen still looks like new today. Amazing what quality that was/is

We originally wanted an Ikea kitchen, but the 92cm really bothered us. I was already thinking about taking a trip to Belgium since you can get higher legs for the Metod kitchen there.

However, we ended up going to a kitchen studio, but only because we can provide the appliances ourselves for a €50 surcharge and have them installed. There we are now doing a 95cm height or possibly even a bit more, which will be decided on site. At 87cm, my back would already be screaming at signing.

When I try to compare this with our prices – as difficult as that is – I find the prices good/realistic.

I can't believe it. The woman plans five thousand cheaper and he installs all that technical stuff she doesn't even want.... Zaba, Zaba, Zaba, how on earth did you come up with that!

Our countertop is now 98... I think it’s great, finally being able to cut etc. without back pain. Stirring longer in the pot will be interesting though. Gives muscles in the arm, also good. I also find the price acceptable if the stuff is processed with high quality, meaning coating/paint wrapped around the edges/corners. And looking at the manufacturer, it probably wouldn’t be much cheaper to get it elsewhere.
