I also find Frenchdoor to be the significantly better solution than SbS. Nevertheless, the position needs to be reconsidered. As drawn in the initial post, these types of refrigerators rarely fit properly or there is a gap to the wall. And, in the case of a real SbS, I simply find the opening direction of the fridge section impractical for kitchen use.

From a purely rational standpoint, it's kind of stupid, true. But I see it with my parents: a kitchen is like a bathroom. It stays there for 20 years at least. I can't stand walking around for 20 years with the thought "Wow, the kitchen is awful and you paid 10k€ for it." The same goes for the whole house, by the way. But everything in moderation since our budget is limited. In the end, maybe only 10k€, if anything, will remain as special repayments and not 40k€.

I also think this thing is amazing. That's why we will take exactly this refrigerator. I haven't found a cheaper & equivalent option for about three quarters of a year.

The large refrigerator section is brilliant, so much fits in there, cakes side by side, etc.

However, the recessed handles instead of grips are annoying.

Everyone taps the front to close it, so it constantly looks dirty, I clean it several times a day
