I will provide the measurements later. Walls can be moved at no cost. The house can also be made rectangular at no cost, but we would prefer it to be square. Larger or smaller windows/ patio doors will be balanced by additional or reduced costs.

It is the antidote to despair. And, quite honestly, it is just money.

Read something about nude pictures... what is this about? And above all, where are the pictures cool:

But seriously... don’t play the victim. I just quickly read through the thread for the first time. I don’t understand some things. Budget tight according to your statement, but quitting the contract against a penalty is not so bad? And I wonder how the house concept for two people fits into a tight budget? Two-story, with additional rooms for each, a whirlpool tub and 1.5 kitchens plus a guest bathroom and lots of windows. There is no proper plan but the house contract has already been signed because of the special offer house.
That confuses me.

In my opinion, the biggest obstacle is that there is no dimensioned floor plan and especially the question of what can realistically still be changed if the special offer house is already fixed?

We have included various additional exit clauses in the contract. Whether we will have to use them remains to be seen.
Thanks for the fingers crossed.
Regarding feedback, you are right. It was not a complaint either, just meant as a humorous nudge. I understand that most forum members also have a bit to do outside the forum ... right now I’m just sitting here waiting.

The free beer and the nude pictures were kindly promised by Itenzer to liven up my thread a bit.

I will provide the dimensioned floor plan later. It is probably more sensible if I open another thread after the architect meeting and the precise measurements have taken place.

Regarding the budget, I probably expressed myself unclearly. There are things we have to do without, but everything close to our hearts we can definitely afford. And the house with the size and the floor plans is feasible for our financial situation. Sauna and whirlpool tub possibly a bit later, but the prices I researched are not as high as assumed in the forum.
