Ok. This is now the slightly modified original version. We have adjusted the floor plan a bit and slightly enlarged the doors (about 30-40cm) each.

That way, the [OG] window would also be better placed, right?

Better already. What is the gray thing on the left side of the windows? I can imagine reducing the windows at the bottom on the right side by 1/5 (at least the kitchen window). What width do they have now? I think that would add more tension without significantly sacrificing light inside. It's the south side, right?

The gray part is the half-open sliding door, although with this 1/3 - 2/3 variant it rather becomes a normal door.

The width is currently about 310-320 cm. I think that fits quite well, right?

I find them - honestly - a bit too big! And the one by the kitchen looks visually larger than the left one, even though it is the same size. When I imagine the room, that is the south wall from the inside, I personally would feel like there is "too little wall". On the one hand, the proportion to the windows: this makes the wall too open, and it lacks coziness as a result. On the other hand: I would miss surface area for a piece of furniture or a gallery wall. Are you currently living in a dark hole? Sometimes with negative experiences one loses a sense of proportion?! And I want to emphasize that I love windows... we have also planned more than usual as standard. On second thought, I would also not like the living room... did you ever stop a floor plan discussion? (just asking)

No, we have not posted the current floor plan. Although we are very happy with the living room. West is a strip of light and whether the couch will be placed one way or the other is also not clear yet. The closed wall to the utility room will definitely get a very cozy built-in wall unit.

Ok, then we'll perhaps keep the window/door size at the previous 270 cm width. But I still have to test that.
My favorite are the floor-to-ceiling huge window fronts, but my husband doesn't like them.
That would have been the compromise from that. Let's see how it will look (also from the inside) with the 270 cm. I'll report back.

I once browsed and found your preliminary draft. (At that time, I had only commented on the upper floor.) Maybe it’s true that the kitchen gets quite dark due to the roofing???? You can’t do much with the size of the window if the roofing is above it. Light strip on the west side of the living room is okay – a view is really not to be expected there anyway (neighbors). Large windows are nice... yes.!!!! But the look and the proportions have to be right. What if you plan the roofing at the height where there is no window (height of pantry), so that 220-250 of the window area (both windows) would be enough? You wouldn’t block the south view with furniture either, since it would be placed in the corner (nice protection). I mean: when do you go outside in the rain anyway?? The window itself doesn’t have to be protected by the roof?!! Try putting yourself in the exterior views and display the different possibilities. Built-in living wall is nice and all. But sometimes one also has the need to design a wall, whether with an armchair, a bench, or a chest of drawers. A shelf for a table lamp, bowl or vase is also sometimes the occupant’s wish... if not now, then definitely later?!
