Dänisches Bettenlager has cheap blinds. They also darken and cost almost nothing. Really. True, no Fake.

I don’t know if you are referring to me and you probably won’t remember, one of the first threads I opened was exactly about the fact that nowadays every two-story house is called a villa, even though they are just two-story houses without any villa details. I would never think of calling the house we are building a villa. I know the difference.

I hope you don’t live in Saxony.

If the plot were bigger and the neighbors further away, we would have built a bungalow too, with a cathedral ceiling. We had even already chosen one. But I will take a closer look at the Nordlys bungalow if you like it that much.

We have shutters inside. Now that we will probably do without shutters, we can also have all of them operated electrically up and down, instead of just those on the ground floor. In general, without shutters there are new possibilities that we would like to explore together as soon as I have published the architectural drawings and the development plan here. I look forward to it. Actually, I only published the amateur floor plans of my husband and me here because I could no longer wait for your feedback.

That would only make sense if there were designs that worked equally well with symmetrically or asymmetrically arranged facades. But you will – if you look through the range of my "favorite house provider" Massivhaus Mittelrhein – notice: that designs not strictly focused on symmetry do not necessarily fall outside the standard size grid of normal home builders, so the provider "still" manages to offer competitive house models. My customers are not the questioners here – but aside from that, that is exactly what I do: tirelessly dissuade people from scratching their floors painfully by putting stiff, straight stairs where the required width is not even present. And also externally, I always advise against splashing large-scale clinker brick accents etc. Except for cheekily switching the main bathroom to the hydraulically wrong side, I see no variation of a standard template there. You merely named the "children" here "Mr." and "Mrs." – but structurally that comes to the same thing as if the beds, wardrobes, and student desks of Tommi and Annika were standing there. The providers do too, which I find particularly disgusting. They know exactly that with a relevant number of home builders, they can switch off the recognition of mediocrity by presenting them symmetrically arranged forms. I find that contemptuous towards home builders. I already wrote that I drive through Hessian Siberia and Thuringia – to my mother in Saggsn. You will like little of it – but it would fit all the more: a couple around 60 lives in that house without children, however, the room for "Mr."’s workbench stands quite unsymmetrically on the left side of the house.

Our bungalow requires a certain sense for rural housekeeping and a strong will to live without flashy bling, but instead with shining eyes.

I am reading this thread very surprised ... specific hobby ... why not have a separate room for it in a two-person household and get it out of the house technology etc.? Sauna .. would be worth considering putting it on the ground floor near the other bathroom. Then you can also use the cool air outside in winter.

Much else has already been said ... door position kitchen restricts kitchen planning from the outset.

Then the wood-burning stove catches the eye, the chimney is not planned for in the upper floor ... and, as a rule, such a chimney on the outer wall of a house with a hipped roof looks rather strange.

If I understand your symmetry obsession correctly, then all 4 sides are supposed to look as identical as possible? If you just enter city villa as a search term in Google and click on images, this is almost never the case, not all are floor-to-ceiling windows. In the bathroom, for example, this leads to the washbasin being planned in a dark corner without lateral natural light incidence etc.

You write a lot .. yes, you can get used to that, or it is better than now etc. But, you want to spend over 300,000 euros, you don’t want to just get used to it or have it only a little better than now, but you want as much as possible the personal optimum. How many living sqm does the purchase contract you signed actually include? According to the floor plan, it is about 140 sqm?

If you have already signed the notarized purchase contract for the plot, you do not need to fear that someone will snatch the plot away from you, even if the transfer in the land register has not yet been made.
Very important would be building boundaries or building lines (if there are any) and approximate measurements of the plot because the garage still has to be placed somewhere, and for room planning it would also be useful to know the possibilities of the plot.
