I'll join in here again... the post is called "excessive costs for the kitchen"...
From the beginning, we planned our kitchen so that we wouldn't use any cost-driving components. Our Nobilia kitchen from a regional kitchen studio consists only of straight sections. Nothing goes around corners, countertops end before the window... all room dimensions are chosen so that standard base cabinets fit exactly. We didn't want any wall cabinets because of the window. For comfort, we have almost everywhere fully extendable drawers (just counted: 25 pieces). It was important that large coffee mugs fit in the top drawers ;) not every manufacturer had that. Additional space is provided by an adjoining pantry, furnished with simple IKEA wooden shelves. The refrigerator is built into a wall niche...
I just checked... our kitchen cost exactly 4,700 EUR installed in 2017... but that was only the cabinets. Extractor hood (approx. 300), stove (approx. 600), refrigerator (approx. 800), sink (130) and faucet (100) we bought ourselves beforehand... and it was installed by the kitchen studio for a small extra charge (I think about 100). We don't have a dishwasher... but it's technically prepared for one.
