We are missing a popcorn emoji here.
That was completely misunderstood by you! The freegan saw it as THE solution, to which I told him that it can never work if everyone did it. That has nothing to do with my view on the legitimacy of these people, nor with their lifestyle. His statement is simply naive and wrong! I never wrote anything more here either. That is why I also wrote that this is about the economy and not about social issues. the thread has been dead for a long time anyway...nobody saw it as THE solution and yet such people are allowed to exist.
I see that completely differently. You can easily resell those brand-name jeans for €80 (provided the €100 price wasn’t too expensive compared to online retail). With electronics, child seats, branded clothing in general, and much more, you don’t suffer losses that make you cry for weeks. As an example, I have been a power seller on eBay etc. for years with three kids myself. But when it comes to furniture – and therefore also kitchens – (even expensive brand-name furniture) the "value" loss at the beginning is really severe. However, prices then stabilize at a low level for a long time. It hardly matters whether the piece of furniture is 2 or 5 years old. The used price is quite similar. That is the case with almost everything. I think it’s because used goods are generally much less popular than new ones. Try reselling a pair of brand-name jeans you bought for €100 in the store as like-new if they pinch somewhere. You can be lucky to get €10 for them.
Thank you for the clearly friendly inquiry. YES, I get you. Back to the kitchen.....Do you get it now?
yes...because of you. It was actually very interesting until you ran the topic into the ground.the thread has been dead for a long time anyway
I see it the same way, although I consider almost exclusively expensive branded furniture to be interesting. With classifieds you have to search a long time and be very flexible regarding the place of sale, but if you take this time and enjoy it as well, you can still find something that is almost like new and yet far below the possible market price. You just have to like it... I like it and I really like my furniture. But when it comes to furniture - and therefore also kitchens - (even expensive branded furniture) the "loss" of value at the beginning is really severe.
