So, the screed was laid and my father only received the key from the site manager at the house handover.

Despite calling to inquire about the key and reminders, there was no ventilation for 3-4 weeks after the screed was laid. At most, fresh air came into the house when craftsmen were there for a few hours.

When my father was inside in the meantime, the walls (drywall) were wet - after ventilation was done later, the walls were dry on the outside but we suspect that the beams have now absorbed a significant amount of water.

Unfortunately, he was not able to take photos because the entire wall was wet and not just "spots" that could have been seen.
