But then you have so many kids again! And they cost...

The 1960s just called and want their heating system back.

But direct electric heating is supposedly allowed again with the presumably coming Building Energy Act 202X according to the current draft and will even count as 100% renewable because electricity supposedly falls from the sky.

Keep it safe and simple – yes, but direct electric heating only in the quasi-passive house with <10 kWh/m² residual heat demand. Tankless water heaters are not only bad for the power grid but also not sensible to operate with the photovoltaic system. The mouthful “service hot water heat pump” is clearly more compatible here and as for hygiene, picking your nose is more dangerous.

Even though heat pump prices are currently the biggest rip-off ever, in the long run direct electric heating and tankless water heaters in GEG2020 standard houses will be more expensive.

We are currently in contact with various house construction companies and were, among other things, once proposed as an alternative concept to underfloor heating + heat pump the variant with vestaxx + BWWP. Since we have a large roof area, we can install up to 30 kWP photovoltaic modules. We aim for an energy standard of

: Did you have any specific questions while reading this thread?

Otherwise, how much cheaper is the Vestax system compared to an air-water heat pump?
With that, you can then calculate how much more electricity the variant may consume.

[*]Energy consumption in relation to living area, especially in the months from October to February
[*]Thermal comfort, since there is no underfloor heating, cold feet?
[*]Savings of approximately 25,000 EUR compared to air-water heat pump + underfloor heating
[*]Risk of air being too dry?
    [*]Integration into KNX system possible?
    [*]How sensitive are the contacts?
[*]Why is the system currently not widespread?

I can give you an answer to that. Because it is a niche product for very specific applications. Namely renovation, when underfloor heating cannot be used and energy consumption needs to be particularly low. The supplement to an existing heating system (e.g. for the bathroom or because the underfloor heating does not provide enough heat at especially low temperatures). New construction, where the energy quality is indeed significantly better KfW 40 (and not just nicely calculated on paper). Because you always have to keep in mind that the electricity consumption is about 4-5 times higher than with a conventional heat pump. And that only works sensibly well if you inherently have to expend little energy. If I normally already have 1,000€ heating costs and then it becomes 4-5,000€ per year, the system is just not viable. If I only heat for well under 400€ per year (my heating costs with a heat pump excluding hot water), then with the windows I would maybe waste 1,500-1,800€ per year. After about 20 years the heat pump is advantageous. For me, however, the living quality with underfloor heating also comes into play, instead of "radiators". And the possibility to also (slightly) cool with the underfloor heating.
