quite simple, with the 20cm ETICS, triple glazing and the like, heat pump, underfloor heating, the heating electricity consumption is already significantly below that of other consumers in the house. Therefore, it is clear, there is not much more to gain. Of course, in twenty years you can install a more modern air-to-water heat pump that then has an annual performance factor of 6, 7 or maybe even more.

are you now just trying to spam the thread so that all the profitability calculations disappear somewhere in the middle and are no longer so easy to find? Otherwise, how do you come up with simply taking 2% repayment? The parameters were 20 years and 3.5%. From this the repayment results. From miraus also take €1500 or more that you save on electricity costs, but even better I would like you to realize that you can simply leave out the interest because otherwise we would also have to increase the electricity costs, which would be the worse deal for the electric heating.

Don't talk such nonsense.

What does reality look like?
The family takes out a mortgage loan with 3.5% interest and 2% repayment.
And now an additional €23,000 is added.
Under the same conditions, as everyone hopes.
And as a result, the installment increases by €1,265 per year.

That is reality for most people.

And finally, get away from me with the window heater. I want a warm floor.

But this is about the window heating and not about you being afraid of "cold feet".

Actually, you are right. Basically, I am talking about the fact that there are different ways to heat a house and spend money on it. And in each case, every decision can be understood. If money plays a minor role, I would go for photovoltaics and a heat pump. But reality looks different. Among the approximately 400 property buyers I have advised over the last 25 years, the main question was largely: Can I afford this? Not, how can I best save energy. That question came afterwards. And I have understanding for people who have a limited budget but still want to purchase a property. And for them, it can be that cost savings of around 20k play an important role and they then opt for a less energy-efficient but initially cheaper solution. And for these people, alongside other heating types, a window surface heating could also be an alternative despite its weaknesses that have already been extensively discussed here. I wouldn’t do it, but I don’t consider anyone foolish or clueless who wants to take that path.

Crystal ball says in 20 years there could also be much better cheaper photovoltaics that deliver significantly more electricity under unfavorable conditions. And there could be affordable powerful electricity storage systems that are worthwhile because electricity tariffs vary extremely depending on the available amount of electricity....
