Hello

I think the thread is great. I decided to buy a gas grill while reading through it. So far only charcoal. But since I want to build something like an outdoor kitchen, a gas grill should come. It will be the Weber Genesis II EP-335 GBS. Apparently not the worst choice. What accessories are recommended? Dutch oven? Never had one, but goulash warms the soul on cold days. Or am I wrong there? Pizza stone? Also a first. Doesn’t cost the world and pizza can be tasty. Rotisserie? I’m doubting that. Apart from stuffed pork roast, I can’t think of any use. And I could also turn the neck from the Djuvec pork by hand every now and then. Or is the difference noticeable? Gas bottle? My wife will behead me if such a thing stands visible next to the grill. So, either a custom cabinet made of stainless steel or granite. Probably with extinguishers at the back? Or can gas never leak out?

Hello

and now the shift to the outdoor kitchen:
The kitchen will be built under the terrace roof. The back is closed with a glass pane (except for a proper opening at the top). That’s where the grill will go. I think a cover hood is sufficient for protection. Or are other solutions preferable?
I am making a worktable (trying out standing height) with a shelf built under the top for deep fryer etc. out of granite myself. Open at the back? with stainless steel sheet? or stainless steel perforated sheet?
Have I forgotten anything? Any points of criticism?

Never put a grill in front of glass! Especially no gas, they vent to the back, meaning 400 degrees will rise there. You can enclose the bottle but make sure there is ventilation. A rotisserie is cool for chicken or gyros. If cool pizza is desired, the top heat next to the stone is relevant. A backburner would be ideal for this.

Hello guckuck2 thank you for the hint. How far away from the glass should one stay? Steven

Well, good question next question. Hardly anyone can probably give guarantees. I once had a gas grill on the balcony about 1m away from a large window. That went well. The glass was definitely warmed by the grill, but not hot.
