Since we have a cheap grill, we also have a cheap cover. From Lidl. For €4.99. Honestly: for that price, it really does its job well! This year I bought a new one because I thought the old one might need to be replaced. But not at all. It’s still great.

If I now treat my grill to a Lidl cover for €4.99 every year, I can do that for years before I’ve even reached the price of the cheapest version of the covers mentioned above. 20 years of buying a new little cover for the grill every year instead of spending €100 once. That makes you think... And as I said: the cover we have on now is already over 2 years old and apart from a hole, which my husband is responsible for because he got caught on it and just pulled violently without looking what was wrong (and I think even the good Weber grill cover would have gotten a hole there), there is nothing to complain about with this cover.

Our €40 cover has withstood wind, rain, snow, and sun without any problems for years.

I'm bringing up the topic again. I'm currently also looking at which gas grill I would like. Important to me are 4 burners, sizzle zone, preferably all black.

What do the experts think about this?

The experts say, too late, grilling starts from January 1st. Since the grill is offered in the specialized trade, it is good and will provide fun for many years. Bring gas and grilling ingredients when picking up.

At first glance, it looks solid and good and the features are suitable - but you only know how well it works after you have used it. Reviews from new buyers of fresh models should be taken with caution - who admits to a bad purchase? I talked myself into the GrandHall GT3 for a while, but in the end it was not a good purchase because the thing is very prone to rust and does not provide enough heat under the hood - or I was just not able to adapt my grilling behavior well enough to the device.

I've had the VIdero G4-S in operation for about 1.5 years. If I see it correctly, it only differs from your model in the following points:
- On mine, the side panels are not foldable
- I don't have a Vario grill grate system
- Therefore, the Vario grill grate holder is also missing

I'm basically satisfied with it, I paid about €480 for it at Porta during the summer clearance sale in 2019.

I don't want to miss the cooking area on the right side panel anymore. However, I find there is too little power for searing onions or similar. But to let something simmer lightly, the regulation is also too inaccurate for me. On the lowest setting, a large pot of chili boiled so strongly for me that I was afraid it would burn if I didn't stir constantly.

The grilling area itself is fine, and the performance is enough for me.

I have never used the Sizzle Zone even once, although I like to prepare steaks. So far, I have always made them on the main grilling surface and haven't missed anything. For the next grill, I would probably even do without it.

The workmanship was good so far, although I haven't seen it since I drove it with a protective cover into the carport in autumn.
We last grilled in the carport in November, since then it has been standing there. Hope it's doing well... ;)

One of the most important things for me was that the model also fits the large 11kg gas bottle, which is not possible with many other manufacturers in this price range.
I always found it terribly annoying and ugly to see the bottle next to or behind the grill on our old grill.

Your model costs €829 including a cover at Grillfürst; for that money, I would look around elsewhere. However, I don't know what you would pay for it.
